King Seiko 56KS 5626-7041

Chronometer discipline
The fine minute track is one of the first things I notice on this watch.
The 7041 feels like a precision instrument in its presentation as well as its function. The markers have room to stand out, the calendar is firmly framed, and the case gives the whole a clean, purposeful outline.
A little disobedience
That discipline makes a small change in colour or light unusually effective. A red day indication or a warm reflection can interrupt the cool composition without disturbing its order.
This is the kind of watch I enjoy for its exactness rather than its insistence. There is plenty to look at, but nothing needs to shout.
